Lifeline Chicago Bring Christmas Joy to Children Without Parental Care
Belgrade, 4 January 2026 – Continuing the Royal Family of Serbia’s long humanitarian tradition, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine, together with members of Lifeline Chicago’s Board of Directors, brought Christmas joy to thousands of children without parental care in Serbia and Republika Srpska through the delivery of thoughtfully prepared holiday gifts.
For more than three decades, Lifeline Chicago has worked under the Patronage of Crown Princess Katherine to support the most vulnerable children. During this holiday season, Their Royal Highnesses personally visited children’s homes and shelters, where they distributed thousands of gifts prepared by Lifeline Chicago’s donors and supporters.
Each gift was carefully tailored to the child’s age and needs, including new clothing, shoes, socks, hygiene items, and toys for the youngest. These personalized donations delivered not only essential items, but also a powerful message of care, dignity, and remembrance.
Visits included the Home for the Protection of Children and Youth on Ustanička Street, Drinka Pavlović Home, Jovan Jovanović Zmaj Home, and the Belgrade Children’s Shelter—institutions with long-standing ties to the Crown Princess Katherine Foundation.
“We are deeply grateful to all the donors who helped bring the spirit of Christmas to our youngest ones,” said Crown Princess Katherine. “Their joy is our greatest reward, and by caring for children, we care for the future of our society.”
Directors of the institutions expressed sincere appreciation to Their Royal Highnesses, Lifeline Chicago, and the Crown Princess Katherine Foundation for their continued dedication and support.
