Crown Princess Katherine and Lifeline Chicago Continue to Support Music Education at Elementary School in Kovin

Belgrade, 15 January 2026 – Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, under the Patronage of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, has once again supported music education at the Paja Marganović Elementary School in Deliblato near Kovin.

As part of a Christmas container, the school received a generous donation of musical instruments, including glockenspiels, metallophones, xylophones, percussion instruments, and essential equipment, significantly enriching the school’s music classroom and orchestra. The donation was made by long-time Lifeline supporter Mrs. Nada Stevens. The new instruments are already being used in the school’s music program, delighting students and teachers and strengthening the school’s well-recognized orchestra.

Additional musical instruments where received from Jack Radavich, who flew from Arizona, to donate an accordion and Dan Orlich donated 3 violins.

HRH Crown Princess Katherine expressed her gratitude to all donors, emphasizing the importance of music in fostering creativity, discipline, and emotional development in children.

Through this meaningful donation, Lifeline Chicago continues its commitment to enhancing educational and cultural opportunities for children in Serbia.

The accordion provides a full-brain workout that boots memory, attention, multitasking and problem solving by engaging motor, auditory, and spatial-temporal regions, strengthening neural connections, and building cognitive reserves.

IPlaying a violin is a safe harbor, providing a "magic carpet ride" of sound that comforts a young player, building their self-esteem with every note while offering a soothing, heartbeat-like rhythm in a turbulent world.

The multi-sensory nature of drumming provides calming, focused, and fun activities that builds confidence.

Music education supports children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development in robust and incredible ways.

Tambourines of Glory.

Essential musical equipment which significantly enriches the school’s music classroom and orchestra.
