LIFELINE CHICAGO CONTINUES SUPPORTING THE SPECIAL EDUCATION SCHOOL IN KRALJEVO

Belgrade, January 30, 2026 – The Ivo Lola Ribar Primary and Secondary School in Kraljevo, Serbia, has received a donation of specialized orthopedic seating equipment for children with cerebral palsy, designed to improve comfort, safety, and participation in daily school activities. The donation was made possible through the support of the Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, which has assisted vulnerable communities for more than 30 years under the Patronage of HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

The equipment, generously donated by The Mihajlovich Family following an appeal from the school, includes four STABILO positioning systems with headrests and lateral supports, as well as seven Bean Seat orthopedic chairs. These seating solutions help stabilize the pelvis, torso, and head, allowing students with complex physical needs to sit securely for longer periods, reduce physical strain, and better engage in classroom learning and therapeutic exercises.

By providing proper posture and support, the equipment enhances students’ ability to focus, communicate, and participate in educational and rehabilitation activities, while also supporting the daily work of teachers and therapists.

HRH Crown Princess Katherine reaffirmed Lifeline’s commitment to improving the quality of life for children with disabilities through continued humanitarian support

This donation represents another successful project by Lifeline Chicago at the Ivo Lola Ribar School, reflecting a long-standing partnership dedicated to student well-being. The school’s Principal, Biljana Mandić Dimitrijević, expressed gratitude, noting that the donation directly improves both the quality of education and daily care provided to students.
