Lifeline Chicago Supports Primary School in Lalinac

Press Release — Belgrade, 12 February 2026

Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, under the patronage of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, has successfully completed the renovation of the main restrooms at Desanka Maksimović Primary School in Lalinac, Niš, Serbia — made possible through a generous donation from longtime supporters, The Nelson Family Charitable Foundation.

The project modernized outdated facilities, significantly improving sanitation, safety, and daily comfort for students and staff. The upgraded restrooms create a healthier learning environment and enhance the overall school experience for children.

School principal Miljan Bojanić expressed gratitude for the partnership, noting that the renovation represents an important step toward better daily conditions for students and highlights the value of continued cooperation in strengthening educational infrastructure.

HRH Crown Princess Katherine emphasized that every child deserves a safe and healthy place to learn and grow, thanking The Nelson Family Charitable Foundation for their commitment to improving children’s lives.

This project reflects the powerful impact of donor partnerships in creating meaningful, lasting improvements for schools and communities.
