Lifeline Chicago Distributes Christmas Assistance to 101 Families
Press Release—Chicago, Illinois 26 February 2026
Lifeline Chicago is honored to announce the successful distribution of Christmas humanitarian assistance to 101 families and individuals in need, made possible through proceeds raised at the organization’s annual 3 Kolo cultural event and the annual Florida Golf Outing.
For several years, Lifeline Chicago has partnered with trusted, on-the-ground institutions to ensure that funds raised in the United States are distributed responsibly and directly to vulnerable populations during the Christmas and Easter seasons.
Partnership in Trebinje – Saint Vukašin Foundation
Through its collaboration with the Saint Vukašin Foundation in Trebinje, assistance was delivered to 41 families across southeastern Herzegovina:
Čapljina & Prebilovci – 10 families
Ljubinje – 17 families
Berkovići – 14 families
These communities continue to face economic hardship, limited employment opportunities, and the ongoing effects of regional instability. Christmas assistance provided essential financial relief for food, utilities, and other basic necessities, offering stability during a particularly vulnerable time of year.
Partnership in Banja Luka – PI Social Work Centre
In partnership with the PI Social Work Centre in Banja Luka, Lifeline Chicago supported 60 families and individuals identified by local social services as being in critical need.
Recipients included elderly individuals living alone, families facing unemployment, and households navigating medical or financial crises. Funds raised through Lifeline Chicago’s events were distributed with oversight and care to ensure meaningful impact and accountability
Community Support Driving International Impact
The success of this initiative reflects the generosity of supporters who participated in the annual 3 Kolo event and the Florida Golf Outing. These fundraising efforts not only celebrate cultural heritage and community fellowship but also serve as vital sources of humanitarian support for families abroad.
“The compassion of our donors and event participants continues to make tangible, measurable differences in the lives of vulnerable families,” said Lifeline Chicago leadership. “We remain deeply committed to transparency, stewardship, and service.”
